“Life is a gamble”. We often hear this saying from different groups of people like the businessmen, investors, and even gamblers who take risks in finding luxury and wealth. The possibility of receiving good fortune from pure luck is marvelous. This is why people take chances in playing bingo, hoping to have a chance to win money and call out “bingo!”

Bingo is a game of chance as what we know. It is played by matching pre-printed numbers on five-by-five matrices against randomly drawn numbers. The matrices may be card stock, printed on paper, or electronically represented. The first person who achieves a specified pattern from the drawn numbers and calls out bingo is the winner.

How to Play Bingo

If you are playing British bingo, which is different from the American bingo, the goal is to fill at least one or all of the three lines on your card. These cards are three squares by nine squares. Each box has a number and is randomly generated. There are ninety balls with designated numbers that can be selected by the caller. The amount of money you win varies by how many horizontal rows are filled. These cards are sold in books or flyers. Each book contains ten bingo cards with their own unique color.

How to Play Bingo

If you are playing in the hall, a caller will be there to select the balls with the numbers and letters written on them. After drawing the balls, the number-letter combination will be called. Each player should have at least one card in order to participate. You can also play multiple cards at a time. Holding multiple cards is a bit harder, but it increases your chances of winning. Mark off the free space in your card. This is free and does not require a number to be called for you to cover it. Listen carefully and mark the correct numbers on your bingo card as the caller announces the letter-number combination. Shout “bingo” when you get five in a row. Make sure that you call it immediately – bingo must be claimed on the most recent number. If the caller has already called the next ball or is in the process of doing so, it will be too late to call out “bingo”. The caller will ask you to repeat the numbers. If you got them right, then you are the lucky winner.
